Cortrinkau's Blog

Summer on a lake in Bavaria, circa 2024.

This blog is made by Cortrinkau, a recent college graduate who as of this very year holds a bachelor's degree in computer science. Things I like to think about are art, nature, philosophy, European culture/folklore/landscapes, and obscure pieces of history. I spend a lot of time trying to figure out how American society got this way (circa 2025), and also trying to think of how we can make the world less bad — how to make it a more free and democratic world where human beings can thrive.

In my free time, I enjoy making art (painting, illustration, collage or crafts), reading, and climbing up mountains. I also really have a soft spot for bees.

Posts that I am most proud of are marked with a star ✷.

Note on AI: Images that have been generated with AI are always clearly labeled, and the only AI images here were made with DALL-E 2, circa 2023. I do, however, use AI editing on photos to remove details that would identify their location.
